Mandate and Goals

ASDR is mandated to perform major maintenance work on the leaching tank agitators. The mandate includes the wear analysis on various tank components as well as the replacement of liners and mechanical components.

Challenges and Issues

• Compliance with cyanidation standards 
• Performing detailed risk analyses as each movement must be carefully planned since work is executed from a crane-suspended  basket
• Carrying out work outdoors, which is often impacted by severe weather conditions
• Planning efficient shutdowns and start-ups of equipment to maximize productivity
