ASDR’s Rapid Evolution

Atelier de fabrication Malartic

ASDR Manufacturing was created in Malartic, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, with a staff of five employees. A workshop was acquired for the manufacturing of products to meet mining companies’ needs.

The company diversifies its activities with the creation of ASDR Environment, specialized in mining water treatment. The same year, ASDR Manufacturing and ASDR Environment merged under a new banner, ASDR Industries.

Creation of ASDR Solutions to extend our service offerings, including project management and engineering services.

ASDR is awarded a major 10-year truck box maintenance contract by Osisko Mining (now Canadian Malartic). The workshop underwent a major expansion to 1,114 m2 (almost 12,000 ft2) for the purpose of the contract, which is still ongoing and has been renewed to 2028.

Mine Éléonore Goldcorp

ASDR secured another major contract for which we assigned over 50 resources from various disciplines to work alongside a James Bay mine for the design of various packages, the construction of surface infrastructure, and for the commissioning and operation of the project’s water treatment units.

An office was opened in Casablanca, Morocco, ultimately allowing ASDR to secure the Tighza Mining Centre project for the Compagnie Minière de Touissit (CMT) in 2019.

Bureau Val-d'Or

Opening of a project management and engineering office in Val-d’Or to sustain our rapid growth. For the first time, ASDR is listed among the 300 largest SME firms in Quebec.

The three companies (Manufacturing, Environment and Solutions) merge under the new ASDR Canada Inc. banner. A new logo is designed to better represent the company’s brand and  evolution.

Creation of the Industrial Services centre of excellence, specializing in preventive maintenance and repairs during production shutdowns.

Centropolis Laval

A new office is opened in the greater Montreal area to position the company in this strategic market and support our rapid growth.

Fonderie Horne Rouyn-Noranda

Acquisition of Concept DB in Rouyn-Noranda and Val-d’Or, known for their expertise in project management and engineering. The firm has now been involved in projects at Glencore’s Horne Smelter for 20 years.

Atelier traitement des eaux

A new fabrication shop opens in Malartic for the manufacturing of water treatment units and the ECOMUDTM technology.

ECO Technologies dragage

Acquisition of ECO Technologies, an innovative company specialized in dredging and environmental remediation services. This acquisition strengthens the company’s water management and treatment service offerings and broadens our reach and geographical presence across Canada.
