Mandate and Objectives

The Borden mine is located near Chapleau, Ontario, approximately 160 kilometers west of the Porcupine mine. Goldcorp (Newmont) was looking for an experienced partner to carry out project management, cost and schedule control and supervision of the construction of surface and underground infrastructure.

Challenges and Issues

• Providing highly qualified personnel to build an integrated team with Goldcorp (Newmont)
• Completing the project within an 18 months schedule
• Executing the project within the $40M allocated budget
